The IT Skills Pathway initiative is delivered by the Health & Social Care Information Centre. It provides access to customisable training and assessment products covering the full range of competencies for users of the main Microsoft Office products, from basic through to advanced.
The IT Skills Pathway inludes the NHS MOST programme, including Microsoft Office Specialist and Expert elearning courses as well as certification examinations, which results in successful employees being recognised and certified to Microsoft’s global standard.
The programme has been approved for continuing professional development (CPD) points by the Federation of the Royal College of Physicians. Each exam pass is worth 15 CPD points.
Microsoft Office Specialist elearning is available for Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Access.
For those people who require higher level skills, learning materials and exams are available for staff to attain Microsoft Office Expert certification in both Word and Excel.
